Registration Procedures
Registration access begins at 7 a.m. on the first day of each group's registration period and is available 24 hours a day through OnePort.
Registration access begins at 7 a.m. on the first day of your registration period. Web registration is available 24 hours a day. You must have a Registration Access Number (RAN) in order to register — your RAN is provided by your academic advisor at your advising appointment.
Waitlists are available on almost all classes. If a class is full, choose the Waitlist option rather than giving up on the course. When a seat opens, the first student on the waitlist receives an email with 24 hours to register in OnePort. If you don’t act within 24 hours, your spot passes to the next student.
Students on a waitlist are not automatically registered — you must log in to OnePort and register yourself. Check your email daily or set up text notifications so you don’t miss your window.
Closed class overrides are not available until the first day of classes. If a class you want is full, use the Waitlist option during the registration period rather than waiting for an override.
Some courses require instructor permission to enroll, which is indicated in the course title. Contact the instructor directly to request an override before attempting to register.
Check for any holds on your account before your registration date — holds will prevent you from registering. You can view and resolve holds through your OnePort account. Common holds include outstanding balances, missing immunization records, and advising requirements.
If you do not plan to enroll for the upcoming semester, you must complete the online Enrollment Notification Form to notify the university.
New & Current Students
New Students
After being accepted, you'll receive a letter with your OnePort login and instructions for completing enrollment requirements. New degree-seeking students must complete an online pre-registration form before they can register for classes. Read your acceptance letter carefully and watch for follow-up communications from the university.
Current Students
Each semester, advising takes place in March for summer and fall registration, and in October for spring registration. Meet with your assigned advisor to plan your schedule and receive your RAN. Registration opens in April for summer and fall, and in November for spring, based on your earned hours — students with 105+ earned hours register first.

Changing Your Schedule
Need to add, drop, or modify your courses after registering? Here's what you need to know.
During the registration period through the end of Week 1, you can add and drop courses directly in OnePort. To drop all of your courses before or during drop/add week, submit the Enrollment Notification Form. You are not officially withdrawn from the university until the Academic Success Center receives this form.
To add a course after the drop/add period and before the last day of classes, submit the Late Add Registration Form. This form routes to the instructor for approval.
After drop/add week, dropping a course becomes a withdrawal and may appear on your academic record. Review the Withdrawal Policy before making any decisions. Deadlines and procedures differ between withdrawing from a single course and withdrawing from the university entirely.
If you want to attend a course without receiving credit — for example, to review material before retaking it — auditing may be a better option than withdrawing. Submit the Audit Request Form, which routes to the instructor for approval. Regular tuition and fees still apply for audited courses.
